Wayne County Traffic Points

The Ohio BMV adds points to your driving record after any traffic conviction. Two points for standard moving violations. Four points for reckless driving or speeding well over the limit. Six points for OVI, leaving the scene, or street racing. This system follows Section 4510.036.

Six points in two years triggers a warning letter. Twelve points means a six-month suspension. A remedial driving course removes two points but is limited to once every three years and five times in your lifetime. Check your current point total at bmv.ohio.gov.
